Curling

On Thursday 22nd February 2018

The St. Vincents A and B team went to a Kurling competition.

A team:

The A team played 6 matches  The A team did amazingly well, Mr Grear and Coach Brown were extremely proud. The A team won 2 games, drew 1 game and lost 3 games. Once again despite the fact that they came 4th they did very well. The schools we competed against were Perivale, Ark Priory, St Gregory's, Vicar's Green, Christ the Saviour and Durdans Park. Overall we played on two out of three courts. All schools played really well. Christ the Saviour was the hardest team to play but we still managed to score a point against them which was good. It was definitely a very intense and competitive game with very close scores. Our best match that we played was St.vincents VS Ark Priory because we scored 6-0 by winning 4 in the fist game and 2 in the second game.

A team results:
St.Vincents A VS Perivale A = 0-3

St.Vincents VS Ark Priory A = 6-0

St.Vincents A VS St Gregory's A = 3-0

St.Vincents A VS Vicar's green A = 2-2

St.Vincents A VS Christ the saviour A = 1-2

St.Vincents A VS Durdan's park A = 0-1

B team:
The Kurling B team played 5 matches. The B team won 3 matches, lost 1 and drew 1.
The B team played excellent and our best match is when we won 3-0. The B team lost to st Gregory 2-0, it was a very close game. When we drew, they knocked our stone out and gained 2 points.
Then, when it was the second end, we knocked them out and took the
point. When we won 3-0 we won it fair and square, we scored our stones in the
Middle. When we lost to St Gregory, they were a strong opposition. We tried our hardest to take over and win them over, but we lost. When the B team drew against Vicar’s Green it was a very intense game. Over all, we got one point and they got one point.

B team results:

St.Vincent B vs Perivale B = 3-0

St.Vincent B vs st Gregory B = 0-2

St.Vincents B vs Durdan’s Park B = 2-0

St.Vincents B vs Vicar’s Green B = 1-1

St.Vincents B vs Christ the saviour B = 2-1
