Boccia - April 2015

On the 23rd of April St Vincent's went to a Boccia competition. We took two teams, in the A team there was Isabelle, Keira, Josh, and Terrence. In the B team there was Lucia, Meghan, Alisha and Martha. We walked to Ellen Wilkinson High School where the competition was held. When we got there we had our lunch and straight away got started. The A Team's competition was Grange, Petts Hill 'A', Hobbayne and Willow Tree 'A'. Our first match was against Grange, Keira was the manager and captain for the first match. It was a really interesting game and we won 5-0. Our second match was against Petts Hill 'A', Terrence was the manager and captain for this match. We won against them 2-0 and it was a calm game. Our third match was against Hobbayne , Isabelle was the manager and captain for the third match. Unfortunately, we lost this match 1-2 which was quite disappointing. Our last match was against Willow Tree 'A', Josh was manager and captain for this match. We won 2-0 in this match but it was a difficult one. Waiting for the results to see if we were going to be in the final was intense but ... We got into the finals! We were going up against the Willow Tree 'B' team and they were really good. In the first end it was 1-0 to them but in the second end it was 2-1 to us and finally after the third end it was 5-1 to us! When they did the presentation we went up and got our first place medals. We would like to thank Mr. Grear and Coach Brown for teaching us how to play Boccia and for taking us to the tournament.
