On Thursday 12th November the Yr 5/6 Girls football team went to Alec Reed Academy to represent the school in an Ealing Girls football Competition. We had two teams in this competition an A and a B team. The A team consisted of: Isabelle, Iris, Sara, Anna, Francesca, Milly, Wiktoria, Ola, Natalia and Elisha. There were two competitions running parallel to each other an A and a B competition the A team competed really well winning 3 and drawing 2 in there group The results of the group stage are as follows:
St Vincent's 2-0 vs Christ the Saviors, 0-0 vs Grange A, 1-0 vs Horsendon, 0-0 vs Stanhope and finally 2-0 vs St John Fisher A. We waited patiently to find out the results of the group knowing the top 2 would go through to the semi-Finals. Thankfully we went through to the semi finals and our opponents would be St Marks. We managed to win 1-0, it was a close game from the beginning to the end. We were so happy we were in the final but we knew it would be a tough game as we were going to have to play Grange A team in the final who we drew with in the group stages. It was a very close game, luckily for us Natalia goes for the ball on the edge of the box and shot and scored. We were so happy but we knew we now had to defend the lead. We managed to defend the lead and win the tournament we now go through to the borough finals on the 25th February. We would like to thank Coach Brown and Mr Grear for training us and taking us to this great competition.
