On 18th November, I went to the London Youth Games for Cross Country! It was held at Parliament Hill in Hampstead. I was so excited that the day had finally come! It was really hilly and we raced on the grass wearing studs. As it was so hilly, a lot of people got tired at the top of the hill. This race was 1,500 metres.
On the day of the race, it was freezing so I had to wrap up warm. It was a very challenging race and was quite different to what I had previously experienced. I did feel tired during the race, but still, it was fun! I came 23rd out of 100 girls in my category and second in Ealing. As a team, Ealing arrived 13th out of 32 boroughs. All in all, it was a great achievement. I was both happy and proud to be given the opportunity to compete at the London Youth Games.
