“A” Team Girls Football
On the 9th of November, the “A” Team for Girls Football went to a competition. We played four teams on pitch 1 including: St Raphel’s “A”, St Mark’s, Petts Hill “A” and Greenwood. We played St Raphel’s at 1.45 and the A team won 4 - 1 so that was a good start for us. We played St Mark’s “A” team at 2.17. We actually drew with St Mark’s, it was 1 - 1 so it was a pretty hard game for us. To be honest, I think they were they were the best team there (except for us!). We then played Petts Hill “A” at 3.21 and we won 3 - 0. Greenwood were next to play us and we won 1 - 0. On pitch 2, we played one more game before they announced the winners and in that game, we played West Acton “A”, we won 3 -0. At the end of everything, they were about to announce the winners for the “A” League and they said that St Mark’s and St Vincent’s had to play a mini match at the end because we both drew. We had to go to extra time when we were playing because no one could score a goal until our team captain (Kayla) scored the winning goal for us so we had won the competition and were going through to the Borough Finals. It was a great experience for me and I hope we win the Borough Finals.
