On Thursday 18th of January 2018, St. Vincents A and B team went to an Indoor Athletics competition. The events where: speed bounce, chest push, vertical jump, javelin, standing long jump and standing triple jump. The A team was made up of Finbar, Jas, Terry, Felix, Nicolas, Sam,  Valissya, Amara, Charlotte, Ariyanna, Angelina and Kayla. The B team was made up of Theo, Stash, Emmanuel, Daniel, Thomas, Brendon, Julia, Nicole, Isabella, Giulia, Tiyanna and Nikki. Doing speed bounce for the A team was Finbar who got 57. Meanwhile, Charlotte got 53 and for the B team Thomas got 55 and Nikki got 52. For chest push Nicolas got 7 metres while Ariyanna got 6 ½ metres, Daniel got 7.50 metres for the B team and Tiyanna got 5 ½. Now onto vertical jump, Felix got 43cm and Angelina got 48cm, Emmanuel got 42cm for the B team and Guilia got 40cm. For javelin Sam got 16 metres, Kayla got 14 metres for the A team meanwhile Stash got 18 metres and Isabella got 15 metres. For standing long jump Jas got 1.92 metres and Amara got 1.88 metres. Theo got 1.88 for the B team and Nicole got 1.92. Terry got 7.10 metres for standing triple jump breaking the school record despite falling slightly backwards. Valissya got 5.96, Brendon got 5 metres and Julia got 4.92 metres for the B team.

Now onto races.  The first race for the B team was an obstacle race in this was Brendon, Theo, Tiyanna and Guilia. In this race you do highsteppers, speed bounce and hurdles.They came 1st in 1 minute 20 seconds.  For the A team Sam, Nicolas, Kayla and Ariyanna came 2nd  in a time of 1 minute 15 seconds.

The next race was an under-over race where you run 2 lengths and go under a tunnel then over two hurdles. For the B team Stash, Daniel, Nicole, Nikki. They got 1 minute 10 seconds and came 1st. For the A team Finbar, Felix, Angelina and Charlotte got 1 minute 9 seconds.

For the last relay race was a 4 by 1 in the B team there was Emmanuel, Thomas, Isabella and Nicole. They came 1st with 51 seconds. For the A team there was Terry, Jas, Valissya and Amara who got 48 seconds. Now onto 1 by 1 in the B team there was Emmanuel and Isabella and they got 25.28 seconds. After, was the A team’s turn it was Terry and Valissya’s go they got 24.44 seconds while coming 1st.  Now onto the 2 by 2, the B team had Nicole and Stash they got 53 seconds and came 1st. Onto the A team it was Jas and Amara’s turn they got 50.47 seconds and came 1st. Onto the 6 lap paarlauf for the B team Thomas and Guilia got 1 minute 21.12 seconds and came 1st. For the A team Finbar and Charlotte got 1 minute 20.57 seconds but came 2nd. St VIncent’s B team came 1st in the B league with 370 points. For the A league in 5th was Petts Hill with 226 points, in 4th West Twyford with 234 points, in 3rd was St. Mark’s who got 304 points, 2nd was St. Gregory’s and in 1st  was St. vincent’s with 406 points.
