Cybermentor Training for St Vincent's
Thu 28 Sep 2017A group of children from year 4,5 and 6 were involved in a 2 day training to become Cybermentors. Cybermentors will help other children in the school with information and concerns regarding online safety.
The Cybermentor programme includes:
- Identifying and addressing key online risks for themselves and their peers,
- Training- role play and techniques for managing typical scenarios to equip students with critical thinking skills for mentoring.
- A staff session where key staff identified to lead in e-safety are invited. This is crucial to developing next steps and embedding the programme across school, with the aim of assigning roles, responsibilities and referral routes to be incorporated into the school structure.

Hot Chocolate Monday begins at St Vincent's!
Mon 11 Sep 2017At our weekly awards assembly, a child from each class is awarded 'Star of the Week' for exceptional effort. They are then invited to join school leaders for a 'hot chocolate' the following Monday.
The odd marshmallow makes an appearance as well!
